With it being the future, the power stations COULD still be one of the mini-towers from the original game. A bit like a wireless hub, but transmitting power at a range of about two feet. Technology that isn't actually that far in the future - and it would explain why there was no need for plugs, or brain jacks, or anything like that.

Yeah, I struggled with the power station design quite some time. I managed to get the original concept looking like a cool lamp post and nothing more so I ended up doing this. Another version could be where it's a recharge station for some sort of bio-energy batteries, it wouldn't be as comic, I don't know. I had same kind of difficulties with the dermal patch back in room one. A concept artist could be real useful for these sort of things.

Why not borrow some of System Shock 2's recharge station design?
I personally think it looks more believable, and just looks cool overall.

Yeah those things :). Taken by what?
by the cyberjack terminal? Or, perhaps it can be like how the future interacts within the virtual makeup of the machine, but that would be weird to stick your head there to charge .. Sounds a bit uneasy, especially if its supposed to be instant. And what about the battery packs? Is it biological energy, or implants that we are talking about? I think the point of that is missing, the power jacks would be innapropriate, if it wasnt for the batteries that you can use. Please understand that if you need to charge via battery, then logically, you would need a positive and negative connection to charge with. If you are implanted, and can use battery packs, then more than likely, the implants are not running of biological energy, cause if it was, when the energy expired, wouldnt you be tired? .. Correct me if im wrong... Im off to work!

uber-high quality stick pretruding from the ground .. Id absolutely love to see that thing in high-def quality! I remade the texture (half-way) for my project as well, so it sucks. Id love to use a high-res variation for it. Im tired of pixeling what I cant rip off the texture files :(

I guess that would depend on whether or not the cyber implants controlled biological functions or not. If they did, then you could very well become tired when low on energy.
Implants would use the body's energy, it would be more logical than making a battery for them that would power out and possibly cause damage to the wielder's body functionality.

Sorry to say this, but it would have been sooner or later. I can no longer work on this project as all of a sudden I have much and much of things to do in real life.
I will complete the second room, the mutant and make some sort of in game imitation video of it, but that won't be for atleast a few months.
It's been fun and I appreciate all the comments I got from you.
I am now a happy man :thumb:

You gave us some great work that other remakes will be measured by.
Good luck with your next projects JukkaKevät although you probably won't need it.. :thumb:
And drop by from time to time.

That sucks. :(
But you have contributed so much to the SShock community, we greatly appreciate it. :)
