It seems Catman's fit of anti-negative rage has been satisfied for now as he is not closing or deleting posts in a tyranical fashion.
And for the last time many posts that did not contain bad words or flames were either closed or deleted including one of my few threads.
And if IS doesn't want negativity towards their company or games then they need to close down their forum - especially after the IW demo. No matter how much they try to censor negativity they will not be able to stop it cuase the FACT is that MANY people are outraged and naturally they are going to go to the IS forum to vent their frustrations.

Okay, but keep in mind that even I thought the IS forums were getting stupider... I've been lurking those things since they opened, and have seen very little in the DX forums over there which I wouldn't ban people over simply on account of them being far too retarded to spare kilobytes on a member profile for them.
When Dave and I think someone's forums are degenerating into bullshit and idiocy, you know something's amiss. ;)

I love it how people immediately cry 'Censorship!' when threads get locked/deleted. The fact that there are still (and were always) threads there which showed the game in a negative light should be an indication that there were other reasons for their deletion rather than censorship.
I think Catman's been quite restrained so far personally. Some of the people posting on that forum make me fear for the future of the human gene pool, tempting me to go on a self-righteous rampage with a pair of nutcrackers and attempt to limit the damage

To be fair, Fat Thief (and I'm not singling you out in particular, as there are thousands of negative posters over there) you might want to ask whether your own posts have always been specific and balanced observations, or merely what amounts to repetitive rants.
From what I've read there have been far too many vague and hurried posts. In truth, some of my own posts soon after the demo have been verging on the offensive / meaningless at times (aren't they always?). If I was a mod, let alone a paid corporate mod, I'd be stamping my authority on the whole thing, too.
People are still starting the same old whingy threads again and again. Far too few are actually thinking before they post negative (or positive) SPAM, let alone reading the other 999 threads on exactly the same topic. Despite what you say, I doubt Catman is just deleting threads for the hell of it, and making more work for himself. He may be inconsistent, but he's got a lot to do before he sorts out the ISA DX forums.
I'm upset, too, but it's time we, as a community, got a grip.

We have noone to blame but the people who write idiot or whatever they now write. It's not a nice place to be in, thanks to the more immature people. Especially two forumusers comes to my mind, and I wonder why they aren't banned yet when they do nothing but write "idiot" or much worse to the people who doesn't agree with them. In the end, it's no wonder that negative threads regarding IS are deleted, since they are in a vast majority right now.
Hammer. Nail. Head.

All negative threads are being deleted and not just the stupid or flaming ones. I gave examples for a reason.
You imply that the negative threads cannot be lumped in with the stupid or flaming ones.

A bunch of whining children who will inevitably buy the game anyway are the ones being 'outraged'.

The state of the IS forums speaks volumes about the kwality of the demo.
After all, it is a game about conspiracy and shadow governments. Do you think there are pseudo posts? A little misdirection and obfuscation anyone?
Look over here, the truth is over here, not out there...
