It's a whole generation older than SS2 in every single possible facet - design, graphics, controls, UI, etc. Nothing looks like anything in it. I'm supposed to create the space station in my head given the graphics are just basic geometric shapes. The showrunners would have to create an original look for the tv show all on their own. Like demagogue said, you can effectively discard the whole game except the basic setup and the logs.
What are you even talking about? It's not like the TV show would have anything to do with the controls or the UI or the graphics. If the triangles and rectangles were recognisable enough to be able to be reimagined for a modern remake that looks fairly faithful to the original, I'm sure there's someone who could build some sets inspired from them. It's not like they have to recreate the station or something.

Inspired is the key word.
I don't think you can make a show or movie that's true to either game because they were designed to be a solitary experience, it's the core of both games.

With SS2, I think there's plenty of material; you'd just want the off-screen and past events to be more on-screen and current. Maybe you could do the same with SS1. But, I suspect it'll be more like other adaptations where they're basically just doing their own thing and slapping the title on.

Well, except for Rebecca Lansing and Janice Polito and SHODAN interacting with you and also the stories of the characters you come across that you get to experience vicariously.
But sure, you can never recreate the experience of a lone hacker / military grunt roaming a remote station listening to audio logs and whacking zombies over the head with a pipe for hours on end in a TV show. Or at least it would be a very boring TV show. Might just as well watch a playthrough on Youtube at that point.
At the very minimum you'd need to flesh out the corporate cyberpunk side of the world and tell stories based on that -- have Diego spin his nest of intrigues on the station, have Lansing as the hired dog of TriOp run up against its internal power plays, etc.
