Just a quick question, is anyone allowed to post on this forum, i cannot attach images or any other files.
bob_doe_nz on 22/3/2007 at 01:47
You should, though the mods throw a hissy fit if it is greater than 640x480.
Upload the images somewhere like (
www.imageshack.us)
Or (
www.imagef1.net.nz) (since your in NZ) then copy and paste the url links here.

Image shack seems to be zooming in every frame, so its a lil hard to read some of the text, if anyone knows where i can upload for free a 15+/-MB file i can post a .pdf file for anyone to look at.
This presentation was given on monday and has changed alot since then already.
Any comments welcome.:thumb:

very nice; I like how you incorporated visual cues from the loading screens - it could have been playing on a screen in the game :)
you could host the whole pdf at any of these:
(
http://rapidshare.de/)
(
http://www.megaupload.com/)
(
http://www.turboupload.com/)
ps- you had some misspellings (like minnitures/miniatures) you might want to watch for next time!

Wow, this had so much oomph as could be expected from any power point presentation. I'll give you that you like the same game as I do, though your reasons seem somewhat questionable. And you have seen all these movies? Congratulations then, it makes you a certified fanboy and as such you are one of us. Apart from that though, it looks to me like you are planning to rape the bastard child of Scott, Gibson and Levine for the gleam of a forlorn nanite. And I am not a fan of that, as hopeless as it likely is.
Your presentation did not deliver either the soul of the games or any personal touch you'd like to add. It was cheap and shallow and could have been thrown together on a rainy afternoon. I'm looking forward to the miniatures.

Ouch. Kolya's just angry because I slept with his mother. German MILFs are freaky. Ain't that right son.

Damn straight. :p

Those are fair comments yes, these are very early days yet and there won’t be any miniatures until early October or at least nearing the end of 2007.
I may not have explained what the presentation was as such when I posted, but it’s simply a 10min presentation on roughly what I’m planning to do with some example of what’s been done before.
Kolya I am more than welcoming you to pass on your thoughts about this game, this is why the thread exists - I cannot design such items without input from people like yourself who are fans of it like me. Please post them here, it will only aid in generating substantially better results :D
And if anyone is of interest also, Ken Levine himself recently got in touch with me and was all for this project wishing me "Best of luck", very cool.

Your only salvation is that you are not actually doing the movie, just designing the production. Otherwise YOU would get ripped to pieces. :laff:
No, ummm sorry. It's great that you are doing this, I mean, you could have made the project based on any game. I'm glad you took SS2.
Ofcourse altering the setting you will make lots of people crazy, they would like to see nothing more but just about the same thing but in silver screen. Hopefully you are not adding as much stuff as you are focusing on what was and detail them by giving them function, logic. Did get that impression. So if you must, rape it gently, brother. :)
Do you know about this site, it has stuff about SS2. Not much, but still.

About the presentation, yeah it felt like a bit empty. It had much of reference and the things you have thought about zoomed out of frame before I could read them. There were some good points thou which told me that you have thought about the project somewhat.
Was it one of the main reasons for doing the project "Justice" :D
