Does anyone know where I can purchase a copy of the strategy guide for the original System Shock game? I just bought a CD for the game and would like to purchase the guide that goes with it. Googled for the guide and while there are walkthroughs, they do not fulfill my need.
Any and all advice, suggestions, etc., will be very much appreciated.

There isn't any strategy guide that came along with the CD. There is an official Origin strategy guide for the game, named 'System Shock I.C.E. Breaker', but it's extremely rare, so good luck finding one.
I really don't understand why don't you simply play the game, and insist on followinga walkthrough/strategy guide without even giving it a try.

D'Arcy, thanks for the response. I played the game in 1994-95 and did just what you are suggesting now. I did find that I missed, many, many items, a number of cyberspaces, etc., but in the end, going back and forth, eliminated Shodan and finished the game. Guess I'm just plain lazy this time. At the moment I've progressed pretty far already, without the Guide. But, thanks for telling me about System Shock I.C.E. Breaker.
I did find several available copies on Amazon. They won't come up in the normal search, but if you enter the ISBN No., you will see them. If you are interested the ISBN No. is 0782117228. Just enter it in the Google box, upper right corner of the Firefox; or upper left side of Internet Explorer web page and look for the Amazon entry. All the best. pukey

D'Arcy, I am wondering - is your guide published by Bernie Yee and titled "System Shock: Strategies and Secrets ? I had one years ago and just can't remember what it looked like or name of the author. pukey

The guide I have is by Bernie Yee and it is called System Shock, Strategies and Secrets, published by Sybex. It's 206 pages long and it's pretty nice. It features an early interview with Doug Church in the appendices.
