System Shock sound effects

I'm trying to find noise free System Shock sound effects.

The ones hosted (http://www.ttlg.com/ss1/archive/sfx.htm) here have annoying noise in the background (some of them are clean though). Are the sounds on that site the original WAVs or just poorly converted? If they are not the original ones, how can I export the original sounds from System Shock data files?

They're probably the original sounds, but if you want to check grab (http://www.systemshock.org/index.php/topic,113.msg1053.html#msg1053) ss_xtrac (or one of the other similar utilities on that page) and run it against digifx.res. That will dump the sounds as wav files.
