SS1 Enhanced and SS2 are on sale on Steam, until April 29.
SS2 is $2.49 and SS1E (which comes with SS1 classic) is $3.39.

I think my only real knit-pick was the clichéd "Bwaaah" at the end, like Inception. It gets used a bit much these days, and I'd rather System Shock wasn't drawn into that bucket. I think the music from the original game could've been adapted to fill that and in doing so keep more of the original aesthetic.
Hopefully I'm not reading too much into it.
I have been hopefully optimistic yet leadenly pessimistic about this whole affair at the same time. I wasn't as pissed as Kolya was about the Night Dive acquisition, but I thought we were supposed to be getting SS3.. not SS1 redux.
Anyway.. as far as the music goes. Doom is a fantastic example of how you can remain true to the original without doing something dumb and "hip" by today's standards. Of course in the case of Doom, that extends beyond just the soundtrack. If night dive or whomever they have developing this can do what ID did with Doom... We'll have a winner. But they better not cock it up.

Well, since we are getting SS3, what's the harm? The worst that could happen is that it's not as good as the original and we still have the original. It's not like it's the next game in the series or a reboot of the franchise.
