Are there choices you make that branch the tear off into different directions? or is it fixed?
Yes, every tear is a short "choose career" map. 8 tears with 3 choices. Each advances the story of a character, changing the current deck slightly. Marie's removes gore\damage\bodies and adds friendly marines; the Many replace corpses with lootable eggs; Shephard's removes gore\etc, add cybermodules and hostile marines.

Have to say, I kinda feared that my voice would sound a bit out of place(in comparison to the other talented actors involved with this project), but upon seeing it in action, its actually not too bad in practice within the actual game itself. Can't wait to play through this campaign once its completed:D

I've released the beta for System Shock Infinite 2.0 here:
(
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=144861)
All testers are welcome. So far I've playtested it only on the Steam version of SS2, and I'm investigating any incompatibilities with the GOG one too.

Hi guys, been playing System Shock Infinite for some time now and the game is really good. I finished the 1.0 version and just now realized it wasn't this new version (yeah, I already knew this one was here, but I wasn't aware the one I downloaded was the old version), so I'm like in the beginning again, and enjoying this update A LOT! All those new things that were implemented are incredible! The cyberspace that resembles the one in SS1, the choices that changes the gameplay experience in such a way that would give shame to many new games, and the story with all those new endings, all creatively put into the game, giving freedom even to choose sides! Well, you guys deserve something from all of this. It's just too well done!
But I came here, not only to praise the game, I actually came into a bug while playing, nothing game breaking, just cosmetic that isn't working with me. When an interaction with another character happens, the photos, that should appear at the sides of the screen, don't appear. Actually, they appear, but I can't see them, they just randomly show really fast when I move (except in rare cases where I put the camera in a certain angle and one of them will appear, but if I move, they disappear again). I think it may be because I don't have widescreen, but I'm not really sure, so I came to understand exactly why this happens, and maybe report it, if it's not a known case.
Thank you guys, the game's amazing!

Hi Phasma, thanks for playing! About your bug, are you using a 4:3 or 16:10 resolution? In that case, you should:
1) Download the latest beta patch here: (
http://www.moddb.com/mods/system-shock-infinite)
2) Check inside the \Extras\ folder for the aspect ratio fixes, that convert the photos in 4:3 or 16:10.
Because the photos default to 16:9. If that's not your case, we'll investigate further! Thanks for any bug report and suggestions you send.

Oh yeah, that's exactly it, now it's working alright! I didn't know about the Extras folder and the things there. Thank you very much, and keep up the good work, the FM is really enjoyable!

Here's an update about the branching story! Every tear can be "tuned" to either the Delacroix, Korenchkin or Shephard timelines to get different cutscenes and level modifications. It used to be that if you selected all tears of the same kind, you would get its special ending: now there are secondary objectives for that too, and you can achieve up to 5 of these for a massive finale.

Does this turn it into a movie, like other modern games?

Tomorrow the full version of 2.0 will be released.

:D That difficulty option was later implemented in the difficulty settings, where monster health varies dynamically.
