Out of curiosity why not simply go with Chicajo's material? Its great mix work, fits better for soundtracks, and generally they have more interest than the initial themes.
Out of curiosity, why not go with the Tribe recordings?
They're the best versions IMO.

I just chose some of my favourite tracks (bearing in mind length and where I was inserting the track and so on). Anyone burning the files to a CD can obviously replace them with their own favourites.
With that method, someone could create an SS1 'Cheese' Remix, including songs like:
The Final Countdown [Europe]
She's a Maniac [Flashdance]
Livin' On a Prayer [Bon Jovi]
Take On Me [a-ha]
Should I Stay or Should I Go? [Clash]
Against All Odds [Phil Collins]
(I Just) Died in Your Arms Tonight [Cutting Crew]
Maneater [Daryl Hall & John Oates]
Do You Really Want To Hurt Me [Culture Club]

Ah, I see now. You just want the pre-rendered music/voice-over file for the Introduction. Easy enough - here from the
"Play Intro" menu selection is the SYSTEM SHOCK (

Thanks again dvwjr. The latest version of the zip file includes this -

Follow the instructions in the readme. Either burn to CD, or listen on an MP3 player.

Just listening thru the logs makes the hairs on my neck stand up. Nice work Kefren :)

Many thanks for the feedback!
As soon as I get a free weekend I will work on the SS2 CD.

Each of the mp3s containing logs starts with a serious audio clipping artefact.
Beware to play this loud on your headphones or hifi, it could rip your ears and speakers apart.
Needs more work.

Sorry, I hadn't noticed the clipping on my hi-fi. As I mentioned elsewhere, I have no audio know-how, I just wanted a CD with the logs and some music on. If anybody wants to fiddle with the files and upload higher-quality ones then they are welcome to use my files or re-ordering as a base (or feel free to do the same thing with new files ripped from the game - sorting them in order took me almost as long as getting the files, so the work I did may still prove useful).
