I was hoping that Eidos Montreal (specifically the T4 team) would get it but anyway Otherside might do an OK job I guess
Not only no... but hell f'ing no!
*smacks twisty over the head with a newspaper several times* Bad twisty, bad! I seriously have the urge to write some triple page long flame pointed in your general direction just like I use to for even making a stupid comment like that... joke or no joke.
*smacks twisty over the head again several times* No biscuit you! ;)
When I heard this news today... I almost instinctively yelled out loud "Hell Yeah!" My poor cat... I scared the bejeezus out of it. But I just couldn't hold back my excitement. Even better is the fact Otherside Entertainment, being composed of most of the original team & would be one of the few devs to actually do this right IMHO, is actually doing it. I know it is a little too early to celebrate since there has been no official announcement except for the teaser website... but damn that got my blood pumping like no other.

Well, the comment above mine was "*Summons ZylonBane*". I just dug out an old spell to help move things along.

EM's reboot of System Shock might be hilarious, though.
"Hacker, I'm slipping! Give me the wrench!"
"It's not about the nanites. It's who I am."

I highly doubt ZylonBane would fall for such obvious bait. :laff:
I also can't deny the hilarious implications from a EM System Shock reboot.

Oh for fuck's sake people, we've been screwed over so many times, not just here at TTLG but through Kickstarter too, yet you guys still blindly eat up all the bullshit.

Yeah well, I know there were some great success stories on Kickstarter too. I sincerely hope the few projects I backed up pull through. Crossing my fingers for Hollow Knight and the Pathologic remake. Hollow Knight seems to be moving along just fine and the Ice Pick Lodge guys seem like a stable, trusty bunch, so I'm not too worried. Underworld Ascendant is really the only Kickstarter project I had my reservations about. It's just really hard to trust someone on the basis of a dream or idea, without any concrete evidence to back it up. But I backed it anyway. Cause what's 40 euros in the grand scheme of things? If it has a chance to fund a new immersive sim, it's money well spent. Just like I'll probably back a System Shock 3 Kickstarter if they ever make one. Doesn't mean I won't call them out on their bullshit though, which their early progress update emails were full of to be honest.

I've had far more good experiences via kickstarter than bad ones.
Shadowrun Returns is fantastic as is every expansion that's come from it. Satelite Reign also is awesome.
