He couldn't do anything of the sort, especially considering the way you worded your initial inquiry. If he had straight out denied the rumour, it would've meant he'd given in to your logic of implied response, and he'd create a form of precedent that others might count on in the future. And even if he (or some other company's rep) were faced with a situation of that sort again in the future and declined to comment in any way (as he did this time with you) there would still be the potential for misinterpretation, something developers might want to avoid. So, no, I don't think you can read anything into his response.

No, the formulation wasn't stupid. I find your post stupid, pointless and contributing nothing. Not only that, everyone has gotten completely off topic. This thread is about System Shock 3 not private emails I send on my own time. Emails I have every right to send. So ya know what, go shove it.

Anything SS3 deserves a shot, and not having to worry about logistics would give them more time for the important stuff :) We'll see how it goes.
