If there's now a System Shock reboot, perhaps a Thief reboot will be in the works soon?
With Stephen Russell returning as Garrett?
Then we can forget all about the lackluster 2014 Thief reboot.

You're dreaming.
Nightdive/Otherside own System Shock. Eidos owns Thief. No connection there whatsoever.

Pray tell, Mr. Building, when exactly you had a stroke and forgot that while the System Shock rights are held by Night Dive, the Thief rights are held by Square-Enix.

Otherside has hinted that they might make a spiritual successor to Thief at some point, but they can't make an official Thief game unless somehow Square-Enix decided to license the IP to them to do that, which I don't see happening. Also, given the abysmal failure that has been Underworld Ascendant, I'm not sure they will be around long enough to even do a spiritual successor.

Might come down to how well Warren Spector does with System Shock 3.

After Underworld Ascendant, I'm thoroughly convinced that if Otherside were to announce Burglar: The Dim Endeavor, it would end up being a Tetris clone.

Can't lie I would love to have Thief Gold/2 for the Switch.
