No. It would just make the entire game look like it had been run through a filter. There are people who do exactly that (just batch-upscale everything then run noise + sharpen filters on them), and I hate them.

I was unaware that this was a trend. If it is, maybe it's because people with real artistic talent have trouble sticking to someone else's artistic vision (unless they're being paid to do it).

The other taxing thing is the lengthy debates that spring from interpreting formerly blurry details.
SS2 isn't too bad in this regard at least, for much of the wall panels anyway.

Well, I made the EP and would deny having much artistic talent.
Then again, the people behind HDTP and New Vision were/are pretty skilled.
