I played SS1 from start to end in 2006 and thought it was pretty good but not nearly as good as SS2. Nostalgia and time context play a big role. I played SS1 over a decade after its release and mostly to find out what the big deal was, and I played SS2 only 1 or 2 years after its release and played it without having previously seen any reviews and such (Heck, at the time I had just started using the internet.).
For the record I'm 24, first discovered SS2 when I was 13 or so.

I am definitely going to stay with you to the end, you have a great commentary voice and the fact you learn the game as you play makes the LP much more interesting and unpredictable. Keep up the great work and enjoy it while it lasts! All of us old time shockers wish we could play the game for the first time for the second time. :p

What I would tell people at the Might and Magic forums in this situation is to play or watch a few other similar games from the same time period for a point of reference. Possibly even play those other games first! I know, seems fanatical in a way...

I'm still impressed at how much positive feedback this LP has been getting. Part 3 is now up! Also as a side-note, Crysis 3 starts tomorrow (if all goes well).

Yep. If I go to Hell, my personal damnation would be me, locked in a room, forced to listen to myself talk for the rest of eternity. But thankfully that won't happen. :D

I get back to my usual alternating schedule next week on monday. I'm kind of straying from my usual schedule to upload Crysis 3. So next week is
Monday: SS part 4
Tusday: Crysis 3 part 3
Wednessday: SS part 5
Thursday Crysis 3 part 4
Friday: SS part 6
etcetera, you get the idea.
