It is fun to watch you play Bioshock, these graphically advanced games are just too much for my poor eyesight and seeing the game played through someone else's eyes is popcorn worthy.
And I knew you would fall in love with the laser pistol, how awesome is its unlimited supply of ammo and high power of the overcharge shots? Keep an eye on its condition though, it degrades faster if you use regular shots on enemies that survive more than 1 shot. Don't let it break before you can maintain it.
Do upgrade maintenance though, since you're going energy, maintenance is ideal because it increases the amount of energy you can store in energy weapons as well as making your maintenance tools more effective.

and maybe bind the weapon mode change key to something handy, so you will be able to switch between norm and over instantly, and NOT shoot the cameras with the overcharge mode.

Eh, it doesn't hurt him in the long run, just means he needs to go to a recharge station a bit earlier. But yes, definitely use the change firemode key, and change ammo type key as well, these two make life in SS2 a lot easier.

Keep an eye out for extra laser weapons - cooldown is per weapon and quick selecting (is laser "4"?) a weapon type you already have in hand will equip the next one of same type ;)
