So I just tried to record Bioshock for the second time, and it messed up for the second time. The first time I found out that I had recorded 20 minutes of video with a black screen, and that was fixed by upgrading FRAPS. This second time, it recorded absolutely fine for the first 15 minutes and then gradually desynced in the rest of it. I want who ever coded this atrocity of a PC port to fall down a well filled with angry, angry mice. I might have found a solution, but I'll try it again tomorrow. I want my first video to be high quality and recording it for a third time today would not be a good idea. So essentially no Bioshock until Friday, if that.

Heh, finally the big reveal.
EDIT: You got the Smasher OS upgrade, didn't you? You only get the extra damage from that if you do overhand swings, which you have to hold down the attack button to get.
EDIT2: And because I'm an obnoxious showoff, (

big daddy of video series's.... get it? Ya, that wasn't funny, I apologize.
P.S. Also, you little showoff xD

How did you get around the sync issues with Bioshock?
Syyiailea on 13/4/2013 at 19:14
Well I did, and I sort of didn't. Find out how in "Bioshock" Part 1: No Gods Or Kings!
Actually, I don't talk about it, but I had FRAPS split the video every 4 GB of recording.

Well, I thought I had won. I thought I had wrestled Bioshock into a position where it had no choice but to cooperate. But guess what happned on episode 3? AUDIO DESYNC, Yay!!! And it's absolutely the worst kind of audio desync because it's gradual. For example, it's not like the audio is 3 seconds off at the beginning of the video and 3 seconds off at the end as well, because that's easy to fix. But a Gradual Desync is where it's off by 1 second at the beginning and off by 2 seconds at the end. It slowly becomes more and more out of sync and it's not possible to fix those. And even if I wanted to re-record I can't. Know why? The game erased my previous save! So I guess I'll have to start all the way over again right? No fuck that quite frankly. I'm not dealing with this for another 10 hours.
Your thoughts?

I need to fix that stupid door brush in the SS2 station map
seems like GOG has finally fixed Incubation, will need to install and test that
I should really make some mtls that would apply alpha keying to vurt's Thief2 model package to get rid of the transparency issues
also, I'm thirsty
...
ah, you mean your Bioshock LP. well, that depends on your pain tolerance. and your (un)willingness to be defeated by a piece of software.

First of all, thanks for the lol, I needed that. Second, struggling through a game is the last thing I want to do, but I'm willing to have another shot at it. And I have one final solution to this desync problem. I think the audio desync problem comes from the games FPS going up and down (again: coded by a monkey) and if I enable V-Sync it may stop that. But after that, I'm just moving on.
After that, like I've said, is the The Darkness 2. The Darkness 2 is a absolutely fantastic game that no one bothered to buy, and I don't care if I have to come to your homes and forcibly press your face to your monitor to make you watch it, I will.
