Hey RocketMan,
Have you talked to the people with duplicates on the SSArena# servers recently? I was just on the only ones that had room and I swear there were 4 with virtually the same names... now I don't know if Captain McNutts is some joke multiple people are doing, but it looks like theres them, newman, hakku, and some others on multiple servers. It wouldn't be so bad for you guys to read this and take initiative if your still watching the forums at all...
Also is there a time that would be good to play, when more people will be on? best to post in greenwich mean time since we're not all in the same place...

Lenonova, since I haven't been on Hamachi in quite some time, I've had to format my machine a couple times since then and so I can no longer access any of those accounts with administrative privelages. In otherwords, those channels are operating on their own and I can't delete users from them anymore. I'd suggest creating a new channel and advertising it in the multiplayer forum if you want to have a game. I'm sure people will join.

Hey RocketMan,
I was gonna say that if you have a master password and your old hamachi IP you can use this link: (
https://my.hamachi.cc/transfer/) however LogMeIn in their infinite wisdom have taken down this function/page because its not necessary for their new hamachi (hamachi2). I am not very happy to say the least, because we have wanted something like that (my freind and I who often play Soulstorm over Hamachi) and they have now removed it now that we've had a decent amount of time with all our servers back. So it looks like your right, but it might be good to move up to hamachi 2. I'll reply with my first impressions when i have had a play with it, okay.

Hi all,
Apparently the new way to reposses old servers is to make a LogMeIn account and attach your hamachi install(/s). The servers that we use conventionally from the cliets are called "unmanaged servers" and ones made on the LogMeIn site are called "managed servers." Unmanaged servers are still up the same creek that they were before, although a LogMeIn account can have the same name for "networks" that are being used by clients, although the name is more of a description: to connect you need to join using a Network ID along the lines of: 123-456-789. The useful aspect of associating your client install with your LogMeIn account seems to elude me so far, although it might be simply that you can backup your install data to the internet and can presumably install hamachi again on a new OS install with your old connections (I dont know about this stuff yet). You should only have to create a LogMeIn account if you expect to be acting as an Admin. Who ever acts as admin for any TTLG games should probly post their email address, MSN address, or whathaveyou so people can contact said admin to kick them should they lose their client. So long as a client account doesn't have any connections or owned servers, they should be able to have the account name reused still. Its possible that users/clients having a LogMeIn account COULD help them do it themselves but I'm doubtful. Losing control of your account still stands for LogMeIn accounts if the admin loses their password and doesn't have access to their old email account, but this is far easier to handle than the unmanaged servers.
Note that in hamachi 2 it appears that shared files are accessable for others on your networks, so make sure you unshare anything you shouldn't be sharing. Personally I'm going to be looking for a way to toggle that function off since I act as the storage computer accross my "home" network... I'll post if I find a way to deal with it.
Also the GUI looks a fair bit different: the power button is up the top left and otherwise it is now a windows style application - all be it some kind of a vista theme. To create and join networks, go to the network button on the title bar. ((
http://www.mediafire.com/file/cyuuetnmjmz/hamachi2.jpg) hamachi2.jpg) Doesn't look nice but its intuitive enough for average people I assume.
The only really worth while advantage will be that a managed server is harder to lose control over, ergo we will only need one server, maybe another, depending on whether people leave the network when they are finished and whether the limit on clients to a network is still 16 or less.

Anyone with an old version of hamachi should be able to join a new server fine, so as long as I already have an account and the new version etc I'll host this server for anyone who may want it. I might join when i figure out a non buggy way to stop file sharing over hamachi2, but until then the Network ID is 028-755-870 (ergo Join Network: 028-755-870) then the password is "45m-dex" (includes the dash). Dubbed "Primary Data Loop" if anyone cares. "myaddress" (AT) dodo.com.au is my email and MSN for anyone who needs to discuss anything.

Sup guys,
It appears that its just a matter of disabling "File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks" or whatever its called on the hamachi adapter properties. Go to My Network Places, View Network Connections, Hamachi, Properties (down the bottom of the first/initial tab), untick "File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks." Apparently my friend I was testing it with had changed it while his hamachi client was open. It seemed to cause problems, so make sure hamachi is closed before changing this option. I am now on that server myself.

Ok then, fyi i just made the server so that it can be used safely if people want it... if you would like to take over thats fine, but if your looking for a match either check out Trips Multiplayer List or go to #systemshock on IRC with |wtp after your name: i.e. Lenonova|wtp (means "want to play" in case you didn't know). The IRC server is irc.starchat.net by the way... no one normally mentions that much so it can be hard to track down... apparently I'm resourceful in my circle. Anyways, I don't know about your hamachi servers but read the last few post on this thread and you'll get the idea of a LogMeIn Account (used to manage networks and maintain control over servers indefinitely... etc)

I absolutely love this game, I tried some actual lan games with my brothers and it was Awesome, But now I'm trying show this Awesomeness to a friend and Hamachi decides to have problems, It might be the user, Or the program, I just ask for help. I've been reading all these comments about Hamachi IP not showing up as Host IP, But I havent seen many responses to them that actually fixed the problem. I'm running Windows XP, And I have the latest version of Hamachi, But I still dont know how to make the Host IP the Hamachi IP.. Please help!
Thanks,
Qwertybeef
P.S. Sorry for the Epic 2 Year Bump..
