I just got hamachi and only found 1 person on the 3 SSArena networks and it is the same person on each network. I was wondering if the was a active network with more than 1 person on it. I really want to try out the SS2 multiplayer so if anybody knows a good network either reply here or send a an email at armiller21@gmail.com.
thanks and hope to hear from you.

Hmm...sounds relatively easy. Just to make sure. Do you:
1. Log into a network.
2. Find an online user and have him agree on an online game.
3. Let him host. Copy his Hamachi address into the SS2 IP field.
OR
3. You host. He copies your Hamachi address into his SS2 IP field.
4. Off you go!
Is it really as simple as that?

If anybody's around and wants to MP sometime soon (next 30 mins) they can post or message me. I want to try out a shock 2 multi game. If not, okay... :(

Haha! My crappy connection of doom defeats all programs and utilities, no matter how flawless.
Hamachi refused to work, as did standard connecting. This is due, no doubt, to my router. I tried doing a DMZ and forwarding some ports (or something) but no joy. Hopefully when Ajare gets back he can suggest some expert port forwarding advice, but I'm also moving house and will hopefully get away from using a router ;)

Use the "magic" option in Hamachi. Open another port and set it to that.

Well, the next time I'll be able to play hopefully it won't even be an issue. We'll see :)

Hamachi is full up for the existing 5 networks I have, not to mention the other networks I'm sure exist for SS purposes.
Just wanted to know everyone's opinion on the Hamachi thing so far:
1. I can open up more space for newcomers by continuing to create new networks like SSArena6, etc.
2. I can leave it as is for the sake of simplicity.
3. Sort of related to 2. but ppl can just make their own networks as necessary.
Personally I think the problem with 1 is that then we'll eventually get into the double digits and redundant accounts will be harder to track, making the variety of users too small for successful multiplay that isn't organised. ie. someone goes online and finds someone else online randomly that is willing to play at any time. The thing is there has to be "some" redundancy otherwise you only have 15 ppl who can play with you ever. A solution may be to msg me if you only belong to 1 network and i'll make space for you in another. 2 networks should be good for most ppl at the time being. When more networks become available, 3 networks per person might work nicely.
Problem with option 3 is that you start getting a shit load of networks being made with like 2 ppl in them and that's terrible from a global perspective since its no longer something you can wire into whenever you want and get instant multiplay. It has to be organised ahead of time.
Problem with option 2, which provides a bit of both worlds, is that you still have a bunch of networks being made, and those SSArena's that already exist can only be used by the ppl who got there first, not anyone new.
So tell me about your experiences and what you think would be best. :)
