When Im not playing as OSA guy, I just use speed hypos and kill reavers first. Then I use more speed hypos to leave rumblers far behind me and I destroy stars.

Invisibility + Soma Transfer make that final room really, really easy.

Note to self: Make the brain immune to Soma Transference in the next version of ADaOB.

Why? It's hardly a bug or anomaly. It's a just good idea to defeat one of the bosses. If someone finds that out, more power to him.
ZylonBane on 8/10/2009 at 19:56
Soma Transfer, if memory serves, essentially sucks the life force out of something. It seems highly unlikely that such an attack, by only one man, would have much of an effect against the Body of the Many.

Being able to bypass the stars seems like both a bug and an anomaly to me.
Kolya on 8/10/2009 at 20:50
It's not the body of the many but their brain and it's exposed after you defeated hundreds of it's children.
But I guess you shouldn't be able to by pass the stars.
Oh man, these stars. When I first saw them they looked so ridiculously out of place. Like a joke left in by the developers, some reference to Super Mario Karts that I wasn't getting.... Still not getting it.

The brain isn't part of the body? :weird:
Dude... WTF.
Kolya on 8/10/2009 at 21:35
Well sure but the "Body of the Many" is the name of the location and you used it as such, uppercasing "Body". The brain is just one of the enemies inside the BOTM. You're not attacking the whole body but only the brain with soma transference. Slight difference, seeing as the minions inside the BOTM could be said to be a part of the body as well.
ZylonBane on 8/10/2009 at 21:39
Ummm...
Yes, the BotM is a game location... but it's also, y'know... the Many's body. And the body has a brain. That's why destroying it kills the entire Many biomass.
