And if SS3 is done, I'd want it done by Otherside. Only they would do the game justice imo.
I'd wait until they've shipped a game to give them that distinction.

The fact that the company is made up of many former LGS employees is all the reason I need.
Who better to make a sequel than some of the very people who made the first 2 games a reality. I would want no`one else.

The structure of the room seems to be almost identical but with up-to-date textures (plus a a little tweaking), it's hard to tell from just the images of the first toom, but it's going to have a very boxy and angular feel to it if they stick so closely to the layout of the original. Being faithful is one thing, but a little artistic license might make it feel less like it was designed on graph paper with right angles left, rright and center.
Still, early days yet.

That looks nice. The real question is whether they can keep the level design and the gameplay intact (maybe with small reinterpretations), but the visuals are good and faithful to the original.

The textures, special effects and models look nice from those screenshots, capturing the look and feel of the originals well. At the same time, I'm not sure I like how low-poly the environments seem to have remained; as such, with respect to the environments it looks like a good texture mod, but a texture mod nevertheless. I hope they'll add at least some more level geometry, while staying fairly true to the original designs.

That original light switch/door switch is still pretty big, could definitely be resized, or repurposed into a Star Trek TNG/DS9/VOY wall computer style panel.

I'd prefer it if they kept it as close to the original game as physically possible, other than making the controls tolerable by modern standards.

So, Otherside linked to a teaser for something and a countdown for just over six days from when I'm posting this: (

Is that the right font? Copy-pasting the text shows a second 's'.
