Just registered cause I'm frustrated to no end. (
http://www.rage3d.com/board/showpost.php?p=1335354527&postcount=22) More here.
I've read tons of threads in here and other forums till I'm blue in the eyes. Tried tons of different combinations using the following things:
DosBox .70 and .72
Dos32a
SSP.exe
altered dozens of dgVoodoo settings
CDShock.exe
nolfb.com
ss1hr.exe
several old and new nVidia driver versions
XP using 8800GTX using Westinghouse 37" LVM-37w1 LCD monitor

System Shock Portable- newest version. Just double click on the shortcut, enter the key (5, I think... it says on the screen) to enable 1024x768, then press the key to start the game and 1024x768 will be available in the graphics menu.
You don't need Dosbox, DgVoodoo, or any crap like that.
Edit: That screenshot looks like it's in 1024x768, and the other options are blanked out as they should be. What's the problem here?

I've got a .zip file backup of the 1280-patched SSP package, but it's 77.3MB and I don't know where to put up a file that big. If you've got Xfire we could do a direct file transfer I suppose.

Megaupload it is, then. Gimme another half hour or so to get this thing uploaded and I'll edit with a link to it.

Thanks for the upload but still doesn't work here. Not crashing but not changing res either.
All I can ever get is 2 versions of 10x7; the only difference being the game font seems to change. In the 640x480(supposed to be 12x10), the font gets larger and cleaner than stock text.
Maybe I'll try in Vista, haven't done that yet.
Edit: Tried in Vista and tried my gf's older XP system with a CRT; same issues, either crashes or 2 10x7 versions.
FWIW, I never see an ingame video selection properly labeled like this person did.
