Primarily I'm interested in what kind of graphics card you need. Will my pathetic little Voodoo 3 suffice?

No, I had to switch from Voodoo 3 to Geforce to play the demo. :(

Arx has relatively low system requirements compared with some of the stuff coming out today, methinks. That is a GOOD thing, mesays.
Anyway, my ATI 128 card managed to run the demo at a functional frame rate (I'm upgrading to GeForce4MX soon).

Depending on your processor, you might be in luck. I've successfully played part of the game on a 900Mhz Celeron equipped with a Voodoo 3 (asked my father in law if I could play on his machine while I was staying there on holiday and didn't stop playing until we left for home ;) ). I noticed some framerate drops when lots of gore was splattered around but nothing I couldn't live with.
As for specs in general, I've found the game to not be as demanding as the recommended system specs might suggest.
I'm currently playing it at home with the following config:
- P2 450Mhz
- 256 Megs of RAM
- 32Megs Geforce 2 MX 200 3D card.
I didn't even try 1024*768 but I'm playing in 800*600 with max texture details and the fog quite far away without any noticeable slowdowns (certainly a lot less than on the machine equipped with the Voodoo 3).
And the graphics in 800*600 do not seem noticeably worse than the 1024 ones to me (although I'd probably notice the difference playing side to side but it doesn't make the game ugly in any way).
So all people with a borderline config shouldn't be afraid to give the game a try. It's tons of fun!
