Maybe a stupid question.....is there any chance in the future to have a "real" sword for Garrett?

I don't get what you mean, Rowena. By "real" you're saying... ? Do you mean realistic?

I would guess this means a sword like Garrett had in T1 and 2, rather than the dagger of T3.

Actually the sword is already in there, probably just need to alter the dagger to have a longer reach and associate the shortsword mesh. I just saw it in the browser next to the dagger.

Still gonna be a bit pants if you try and use it as a defensive weapon though. Mad slashing isn't quite a replacement for the *ahem* sword play in T1 & T2.

You would need new animations too, to make it look believable, especially for backstabs.

Hmmm, perhaps the animations are already there. :)

That would be...strange. What makes you say that? Was the dagger a last-minute design decision or something?

I'm sure the functionality would have to be basically the same as the dagger, so it would primarily be cosmetic, I'd imagine.
An interesting side note, is that all the rope arrow geometry is viewable in the editor. There's obviously no way to have them work, but all the art is present in the mesh browser.

The bigger questions these raise are: does T3ed support the introduction of new non-static models (sword), animations (swinging left/right/overhand), and advanced code (parrying)? I know we're still early in the learning process, but is there any indication T3ed is this powerful?
