I just downloaded the Sword of Perithia mod only to find... I can't play it unless I create a new character! It's a total conversion mod, but doesn't replace the island of Vvardenfell (it's still there.) I was wondering if I could still play SOP with my current char? If I play with SOP loaded I get a ton of errors (mostly saying different dialogue options have been deleted) and then the game crashes.
I don't know if it's as simple as deleting a few scripts (I hope so) but I'm not exactly a scripting kind of guy, so I'd appreciate any help. I'm not starting a new char again...

Yeah, but that's a real pain to do. I can't leave all my items behind... and even after selling 90% of my loot (totalling more than 3 million gold! :cheeky:) I still have a lot... Maybe later. I'm kinda bummed. I beat Bloodmoon, Tribunal and the Morrowind Mainquest. And I've killed 2 out of the 3 Vampire clan leaders. I need more!!!
I've only got two things left on my agenda *sniff* 1) Kill the remaining vampires. 2) Explore. 3) Start levelling up again. Maybe 4) Find a cure for werewolfism, but I don't even know if it exists. And I'm not a werewolf. The char model is cool, but it's not for me ^.^
But thanks for the link!

3 million gold? no way..not without cheating or using a mod that adds about 300000 Gold to merchants...
RyushiBlade on 22/6/2003 at 18:35
We-ell.... ok, fine, I admit I did use the console. But it was just because I filled up all the storage I had! So I took out the items, totalled up their value, dropped 'em, disabled every last one of them and then added the gold via the console. I had to do it!

I only use Creeper, selling things in increments of $5k. He's far more convenient to get to (without having to waste my Mark) than the Mudcrab, and he'll pay 101% of full price for everything. I have about $800k on me in cash, and at
least $2 milliion in unsold armor and weapons (3 daedric dai-kaitanas, about 5 complete suits of glass armor, 18 complete suits of Dark Brotherhood armor, 3 complete suits of ebony armor, etc.). Plus, with my (self-made) Amulet of Summon Golden Saint (buy the Summon GS spell from the guy in Tel Branora, have any enchanter make you a Summon Golden Saint amulet, cause you can't cast the spell yourself due to magicka restrictions), and all the Grand Soul gems I've either found or bought (enchanter in Godsreach marketplace in Mournhold sells them), I have access to an almost unlimited supply of $80,000 Trapped Golden Saint Grand Soul Gems whenver I want. So yeah, it's entirely possible to have millions of dollars in cash without cheating.
You just have to be willing to sit there and spend about 7-10 minutes of real time with Creeper for each $100,000 you want to sell.

Exactly... I figured I know I can sell all this stuff, but do I really want to spend all my time doing it? If I was doing my usual haul of 200k it'd be different. But I was going for 3 mil... Oh well, now I have all the storage I need again! And thanks for telling me about the enchanter Zaphod. I'm running low on GS grand soulgems.

Anyway - just adding the value of the combined items in gps to your inventory is kinda BORING! It's only creeper who pays 101% of value - if you got a mercantile of 100 you wouldn't get anything close to it!
Besides what's the point? You'll never need that much money anyways...
But with regards to the MOD - had it ever occured to you that the ones who made this MOD had it in their minds that it ought to be played with level 1 char? It didn't strike you as a bit odd that they recommended that you only chose a standard class instead of making a custom-class? And did you notice that they've altered the stats for the races?
Swords of Perithia was meant to be played as a stand alone adventure removed from the main plot... So why not play it like it was meant to be? Besides your char sound rather über - which means that you wouldn't get any challenge. If you play it at level 1 you will get some challenges. But of course I can't say whether you're up to that challenge or not...

Exodus, you took that from the link Jordana gave! lol. But yeah, that occured to me. And I didn't care much, because I'm in it for the exploration, the new sights and sounds, and the PUZZLES! The puzzles can hardly be affected by your level or stats.
And the mudcrab gives you 100% of an items value too. And it's not that boring. You type in the command once (I did player-> additem "gold_001" 10000 because it was easier to count) then just hit the up arrow and enter repeatedly, counting in my head. It took about 5 minutes and was amazingly less boring that actually bartering with the Mud Crab. To me anyway. And like I said, I did all that to clear out all of my storage because I'd filled it up.

Nay - that is most certainly correct... However I do think it's cooler to begin playing it from the very beginning - otherwise you don't get that harried feeling when exploring.

I do however think it's a complete waste of time - you won't ever need that much money...(And if one were a purist it would be considered cheating - but then again who give a flying turd?) What prevents you from typing player->additem "gold_001" 1000000 ? That would be quite more efficient...(sorry if it's a stupid question but all I've ever used the console for is the fixme command). And actually I've never bothered finding the mudcrab merchant. I'm using a mod which gives enchanters a bit more money and places a weapon and an armour merchant in respectively the tower of dawn and the tower of dusk. Then I usually trade my items into other items with a better value/weight ratio and picks up the gold I can in the process.
