Its an actual augmentation like ballistic protection or spy drone or regeneration.

Take about 5 if you can, as there are loads of extras around by the shanty town (card board boxes as well).

2.Or are crates required?

You can cheat if you like and use a single crate as well as the Speed/Jump Aug at Tech Four.

3.What slot does it take?

Since this is a special upgrade feature, once you have it in your possesion, it will have its own slot which wil be added on above the existing ones. Oh- and I forgot to mention that it takes up two spaces in your inventory...

4.Does this affect TK/LAMS?

Nope, they function as normal.

5.ZERO UNATCO/Innocent casulties?

No, none of these guys can die by your hand or by terrorist hands.

6.Do you need a patch?

No, apparently the developers were alert enough of the Bow Upgrade from Thief (search function in the Thief form will reveal all) to include it in the first version of Deus Ex.

I have tried using 2 card boxes and 2 ammo boxes but only up to almost same level of the eagle head, and still can't jump over to it, so I have to add one more. BTW, which side is easier, the head or the tail or the sideway of the head?

I doubt it really matters, but I'd go for the head side just to be safe. I'm almost finished with Deus Ex, so when I'm done with it I'll tell you which side once I have a chance to try it myself
