A "leaked memo" I found, passed on by a fellow DX maniac:

"Hard to understand how nobody's yet found the Sword Arm Upgrade augmentation. If enough people approve, I think the details of it should be included in the official walkthroughs, and I think the text below would be suitable for this. Please reply to tell me if you approve or think this should be edited:


To find the Sword Arm Upgrade Aug:

You'll need to be in Battery Park, where you get dropped off by the police boat after getting through the NSF attack in Liberty Island. You should notice that there's a little boy hanging around this area...just leave him alone for the moment. Once you have been spoken to by Anna Navarre, let her run off to guard the terrorists( she won't attack unless you're there and alert her to them. Somebody should fix this in the next patch...but that's not my area.)


Make friends with the little boy, if you have any food.If not, you can skip him and go to clear out the upper levels of Castle Clinton, where you'll find a packet of food. You can then go and kill every single terrorist in Battery Park, without any UNATCO or innocent losses, and dump every body in the water. Once this is done, you need to go back to the little boy, and if you haven't already, give him the food. He will like you now.

Next, you need to head over to that large eagle statue nearby to the little boy. You have to climb up on to it, which can be dine using barrels/crates from Castle Clinton or anywhere else. Once on the eagle, carefully climb on to its head, and jump three times,to activate a pressure switch . opening a trap door close by, you'll be able to hear it to locate it.

Head over to the trap door, and jump down. You'll take some damage, but you should be ok. At the bottom, you'll find a load of credit chits, making about 6000 in all. You can also press a button to activate a ladder to get out of here. Once this is done, head over to the shanty town, and find the 'sick looking woman' roaming around, who usually tells you to go away. If you talk to her, she will give you two items in exchange for 6000 credits: a papper gun, and a bag of fish & chips. (It looks like a bag of soy food, but it has a fish label. All we had time to make.)

Drop the fish and chips, and spray it with the pepper gun. This is important, and you might have to do it several times. Once you have got pepper on your fish&chips, locate a pool of blood from a dead terrorist, and drop the fish&chips in it. This will fool the little boy into thinking you have a bag of fish&chips with ketchup and pepper on them! Finally, go back to the little boy, and talk to him. He will small the fish&chips, and ask for them. Give them to him, and he will give you a 'funny lookin' blue thing mom was using as a light'.

This is the Aug Canister!

You can use it at the first available medbot, in the Free Clinic. It will upgrade your sword arm with a massive strength boost, allowing you to get headshots with the Dragon's Tooth, and throw crates huge distances, which can also kill enemies and destroy bots when accurately thrown."

(oh, and btw...it's four times you have to jump on the eagle, not three. I was trying this for ages and only got it when I jumped four times. Last thing- I heard from this guy there are several textures in the last two levels which can be broken down in walls with the Upgraded Sword Arm, but I haven't got there yet, so I couldn't tell you which ones do this)

Thats soooo cool that they spent that much time going into that much detail. I dont know if i would have ever been able to figure that out. Ill check it out next time i play.
