I've got a crazy idea for a new light type - a soft flexible pole with a light on the end. Since it's going to be so thin it'd be better if it actually flexed when nudged, which I think I can do by experimenting with making it a skeleton mesh and making it ragdoll inside a closed bracket.
So long as the limits are set right I think that part should work.
But I want to attach a swinging lantern to the end of it.
Any ideas if that would work, or what types of attachment to use?

I used Hinged Attachment to connect the hardpoints and set the Axis to X and Y (if I remember correctly.) I had to fiddle with the offset data in the link, too, to make it look right. I'm still not sure why that was necessary since I was very careful to place the hardpoints where they should have been.
