Is there a way to have superscripts and subscripts in posts? There doesn't appear to be a vB code tag for either.

That doesn't appear to work for me. See: x<sup>2</sup>.
Edit: It doesn't work in the preview but it works in the final posts.

Yeah, for some reason preview post doesn't use HTML, and the final post does. New members can't use HTML.
There's a special character for "squared", by the way: x².
It's also odd that in the topic review (the thread as shown beneath the post box), yours doesn't work but mine does.
