It was pretty damn good. Kicked the living crap out of X3 (I will never forgive screwing up the Juggernaut), not that that says much. I really enjoyed it and hope they make more. Kevin Spacey made Lex Luthor scary without losing the humor. There were a very few minor problems for me here and there (the whole jesus christ pose thing near the end wasnt really necessary and was a bit ham-handed), but DEFINITELY worth the 9 bucks plus bus fare I paid to see it.
Doubt I'll go see it again in the theater, not because it isn't worth it but because I'm a poor bastard and even matinee prices are making me wince these days.

Saw it and enjoyed it about as much as X3. I actually appreciated how it kept the PG-13 rating (or is it PG?), in an abundance of clever ways. Plenty of action, and no one really got hurt except
Kumar and kru on crystal island.
The stunts were genuinely breathtaking, and I am one cynical moviegoer, especially when it comes to padding mediocre films with CGI. Suffice it to say that picking up and throwing cars around is going to seem a little tame after this.
There were enough plot holes and hamminesses and an irritating level of Jesus-ness to spoil a good deal of it for me, but not completely. Just please, a lot more Spacey next time; give him more, better lines and a world-domination plot that doesn't leave so many questions unanswered. I suppose the moon-eyed pining for Lois could get the old heave-ho to make room for that, what say?
I say all this, of course, blissfully unaware of most of the Superman comic and movie canon. All of the above could be much appreciated by those more familiar with is character. I recently read Watchmen for the third time and wanted to see more Doc Manhatten and less JC, maybe in the next movie, if any? Greater experts in the field than I could tell whether or not that would be violating S's genuine nature. Not to mention that vast swath of Christian types who are no doubt rejoicing that they actually have a safe, cool movie to take their kids to.

Went to see it last night. Superman has never been my favourite superhero but I thoroughly enjoyed this film. It was action packed and really well cast. I’d highly recommend seeing it in the cinema. Don’t wait for the DVD to come out or “download it from the web”. It cost me eight quid to see in the cinema and it was worth every penny!
Don’t know the name of the actress who played Lois but she was fairly hot, no Teri Hatcher though

So far, this has been the best movie I've seen this year. I also enjoyed Munich and to a lesser extent, Pirates 2 (I didn't really care for the 1st one at all).

...The last time a movie let me down this much was the recent starwars movies...

The story line was flacid, it felt like an episode of a TV series rather than a full blown movie.

Do you often feel let down because you're flaccid when blown?
