Yeah.
What the F?
So these 2 seem to be very tough to get rid of. AVG doesn't seem to detect them and though Spybot S&D sees them it cannot remove them, even with it's fancy "You must restart to complete the process" with the half hour scan on start-up.
Google give me a load of sites offering "awesome" removal tools, and then there are some sites with the usual instructions on manual removal that I don't really trust, especially as I know some of the files they suggest (like cftmon) are legit.
What gives here?

Ja, made a mistake on the name.
The names of the malware programs are backdoor.bot and spyware.passwords, just like in the title of the thread.

(
http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=53847) I found this handy forum entry over at Spybot for removing backdoor.bot that seems promising. Haven't found anything good on spyware.passwords yet, but I'm still digging.

How odd. I searched the forums there and got a different post on it altogether. In another language.

I dunno. I found that link directly off Google. Might just be one of those things.

The names given backdoor.bot and spyware.passords are just general labels given by the security program not the actual filenames. Best to post your logs in security forums and they should guide you in proper actions. It might be a false positive or an actual trojan/virus.
