Why don't we have a Super Mario Maker thread yet? Where are all the TTLG Mario fans? I know you exist! Let us share our Mario creations and monstrosities!
I've got a few levels up; two involving wall jumping to some extent, and another highlighting the propeller cap. But yesterday I made one I'm moderately proud of.
I called it somewhat unimaginatively 'Trust the Coins and Never Stop' (C1A4-0000-004C-B433).
The 'Mario Trail' feature makes it really handy to chain things together such as a jump that perfectly hits an arch of coins, then lands on a Koopa Paratroopa, then another Koopa, etc. It came out pretty well.
If you're interested in trying the other levels, you can just grab them from my user page once you add the above code.
So, any other TTLG creations?

Hey, I'm a TTLG Mario fan! I know: WHAT A NERD, RIGHT?
Your level was really fun! Every death I had I blame entirely on myself. I JUST DIDN'T TRUST THE COINS ENOUGH. :nono:
Here's a few of mine if you wanna try them:
One where Mario gets tanked and destroys a town in a drunken stupor:
13CF-0000-0043-71EC
An early one I made, where you're tasked with going undercover and assassinating the Goomba president:
1738-0000-0022-F1C4
One where you have to get Ganon to his office, so he can settle in for a long day of evil paperwork:
6889-0000-0032-945A
And finally, one I just made that spoofs classic Sci-fi B-movies:
8B33-0000-004B-2DFD
On a general note...this game is really great for someone like me. I've always enjoyed user-created single player experiences. It's nice to be able to make my own without ANY technical know-how whatsoever.

I will admit, the Cheap Cheap placement was a bit cruel ;)
I tried a few of your levels. Fairly well done on the whole, but the sound effects are a bit overused. And they're kinda long :( . I'm a bit of a traditionalist with regards to Mario levels, however. I was impressed with the two layers being used for the building interior/exterior on the Ike stage. Reminded me of Warioland 2/3.

I'm playing this too. This game is a complete blast. I spent the first couple of weeks just playing through the crazy (sometimes insane) levels people have put together and uploaded. Lately I've been digging in a little deeper on the editor, and having a lot of fun with that too. No courses uploaded yet, but I have a couple that are near done. I'll post em here when I'm finished. Still need to try out the ones you guys listed above.
Nintendo really did a kickass job with the editor, it's so damn easy to use, and has a ton of options. I see this being more than a one-timer, I think we'll see more of these DIY gaming titles in the future. Minecraft paved the way, but I think Nintendo is enhancing it further and making it even more accessible. I just read that over 2 million courses have been uploaded since release a few weeks ago. I think that qualifies as well beyond niche territory here.
Hoping we see some decent DLC down the road.

If they make a Super Zelda Maker, I'd get in on that action so hard they'd have to call their next system the Stupid Nintendo.

Passing off a level editor as an actual game. Only on consoles.

May I direct your attention to the following series?
(

You could also argue that the Trackmania series is more about the user-made tracks and the editor than the default 'campaign', but I will admit it has a sizable default set of content.
Regardless, it's hard to argue with 'infinite' Mario levels once you start finding some of the better designers :)

Yeah, kind of depends on what you consider to be a "game." (Uh oh, Dear Esther talk forthcoming). Whatever the case, I paid my $60 and I'll clock more hours in SMM than on about 90% of "games' I play.
So there. And Sieg Heil! to SD, btw.

To be fair, the DIY trend for platformer games came a while back before Minecraft popped into scene. If anything I'd give more credit to Little Big Planet as inspiration for this game. :)

GREAT, now Brethren is going to bring his finely-honed FM making skills to Mario Maker and make us all look like CHUMPS...:tsktsk:
