Leaving for our favorite bar (being friends of the owner) for the big Super Bowl party soon. I just thought I should register my support for the Saints before I go. So without further ado:
Geaux Saints!

My interest for this superbowl was significantly deflated when Bret Favre fucked up yet another AFC title game. I'd like to see Payton get another ring because it'd help his case as the best of all time, a title which he is really getting close to at this point.
Saints would be a good story as well, I'm just fucking sick of reading about the team that gave a city back hope.

Yeah, that's part of my loss of interest in the Saints. Every person I hear mentioning the Superbowl says the Saints should win because of what happened during Hurricane Katrina.

You need better friends.

Congrats to the Saints ! ! :D ;) :D ;)
They've never even made a Super Bowl appearance, much less a win.
So it's really cool for them. And despite what you guys are saying, everybody likes a Cinderella story.
Anyway, both teams played great so they can go home with their dignity.

Pretty average game all in all, it wasn't exactly the shootout anyone was hoping for, apart from the two qb's there weren't any real stars in either offense. Addai played like a beast though. Disappointed for Payton, although the pick he threw was real doozie. Saints got a couple of the luck of the bounce style plays, but they were also more aggressive with their play calling throughout the match.
It's a real shame that the best match of the playoffs was in the first week, that green bay/arizona was one for the ages!

Disappointed for Payton,
No you're not. Payton won the game.

Jesus, Peyton, whatever. Although I do begrudgingly respect the stones on Payton for calling an onside kick to start the second half.
