If there's a conspiracy* I rather suspect it's purpose is to get the championship to go to the last race. That's the problem with the FIA at the moment - they're trying to force F1 to supremely exciting for every second of every race, but that's not the nature of sport.
* Which I doubt

It used to be the permanent nature of the sport, when there were no wings, front wheel drive cigar-shaped cars and skinny tires.
Hello, Fangio.
Goggles, leather helmets, rush goalie, jumpers for a finish line, one's gone home for his tea...

Cars back then were as fast (if not faster) as today's. And if something went wrong, the only safety measure you had were hay bales to soften your crash. I bet Fangio would fall asleep if he were ever to try and do a lap in one of today's F1 cars :D

And Brawn GP takes the front two spots :)
Not that it's exactly surprising, considering the results they've been getting in tests. But McLaren/Ferrari's terrible performance did come as a bit of a surprise.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that as well as dominating Q3, they were also the heaviest cars in Q3 as they had the most fuel on board (22 laps for JB, 23 for RB).
Toyota got booted to the back for having an extremely flexible rear wing, which is against the rules.

With the Toyota being a front running car*, we should see how the new rules help with overtaking.
* Never thought I'd say that :o

I dunno, I think we still might see the Trulli Train in action if he manages to overtake a few cars.

Christ, that was quite a race!
Jenson nice and fast, the start nice and chaotic and Vettel and Kubica fighting over the same piece of tarmac.
Amazing start to the season. 1 down, 16 to go.
