I actually think that Raikkonen did a very good job in controlling the car on that occasion. When I saw the car fishtailing, and given that the tunnel exit is one of the fastest points in the circuit, I expected a crash very much like Rosberg's.
But it was indeed very sad for Sutil. I don't know when will he get another chance to finish that high up on a Force India.

Busy weekend.
A horse called New Approach won the Derby simply because his trainer who had thought he wasn't ready had forgotten to remove his name. Nice one!
I haven't been watching but there are some strange names leading in the Canadian Grand Prix. And Coulthard (?) is currently 3rd. No doubt as surprised as everyone else.
Nadal has equalled Borg's record winning the French Open.
No idea why but England seem to have had a good cricketing experience against some Kiwis.
Is anyone watching Euro 2008? I saw Portugal/Turkey last night. They were obviously all as pissed as farts as they seemed incapable of staying on their feet for any length of time. But that's all I've seen so far. TV is desperately trying to drum up some interest so for their sakes, I think I'll support Holland.

The secret to winning is to play against teams that aren't very good.

This is pretty much it. I'm sure I don't care who wins! Hopefully there will be some good games though.
The US Open is coming up and Tiger, despite not having played competitively since the Masters 2 months ago, is <s>2-1 favourite</s> you can manage 5-2 if you search. Mickelson, the second favourite is 8-1. Everyone else is in the 20s. This would seem unreasonable odds for Tiger but for his record at the host course, Torrey Pines. In the US tour, he's won there the last 4 years in a row and has a great record before then too.

Yes. That was very much Frank Bruno vs mobile punching bag. Neither our coach nor the administration care about tests- prior to the first series v england we played the Bangles and prior to that we had a full 12 months without a single test- and most of the old, good, players (allegedly) hated the coach so much they retired rather than deal with him. We'll probably win the hit and giggle though, as that's what the team is set up for.

Holy shit, did anyone watch the "last" day of the US Open? A fantastic end to the tournament with Westwood, Woods and Mediate all swapping places repeatedly. Ended up with Woods holing a 12 foot putt to force an 18 hole play off with Mediate tomorrow. Westwood sadly missed his putt for birdie on the last and thus his place in the play off. Woods' dicky knee was awful after poor shots but magically seemed to not bother him so much when playing well.
PigLick on 16/6/2008 at 02:07
hehe yeh i noticed that as well. "Hey it wasnt me it was the knee". The 2 eagles he got and the birdie chip in on the previous day were fucking amazing though. How he manages to pull such shit out of his ass even when his playing isnt really 'on' is incredible. Now I have to get up at 2am tomorrow to watch the playoff, and then be tired and grumpy at work. Woods could have gotten a eagle on the last hole, just for my convenience.

Well I watched the final and Spain won - something about 44 years but wasn't really concentrating - but hey, I won 35.00.
And now I was/am watching Murray lose at Wimbledon. And I keep saying to myself, ffs, show some balls, Murray. And blimey if he didn't do just that. Don't know whether he'll come back in this match at all, but - I just saw a shot that he got back that never in a million years would I have thought that anyone would get back.
Tennis on a bad day, like cricket, will make me go to sleep, but courage and determination, from who/whomever will definitely make me sit up. And for a change it was a Brit - strictly speaking, Scot. Good on yer mate!
Well from 2 sets down, he's now drawn level. I'm much more used to Brits rolling over and dying. Very refreshing. Haven't really been this interested in a match since the Borg/McEnroe final of 197something.
