A Russian fan was stabbed as well.
We should have a new low - serious assault over something as stupid as football should carry with it a 50% increase in sentence. Or corporal punishment in public.
ffs

Bring back the stocks is what I say.
I'm not a proper footie fan. I feel so miserable for Carlisle. But look what you've achieved in the last four years. Amazing progress. We've just gone downhill. And really thought we wouldn't do it tonight. But a different team walked out and looked like they were playing football for a change. Your biggest problem is going to be hanging on to your keeper I feel - he's magnificent.

Aaaaaand... it's on!
Bristol have beaten us once this season already. They don't need to win this though. We do!

Thankfully. The last thing the premiership wankfest needs is more London. Its a good showing from whichever side makes it, to be honest. Really glad that its not the usual sides getting in there (well, unless you include us, due to the mid '90s). Neither Bristol City or Hull have looked that exceptional to me really, it'll be interesting, two really well organised and motivated but not all that special sides going at it.

Well I used to be a southerner but now I'm a northerner so it's got to be Hull for me - apart from which they have an excellent port with ferries to places we want to go!
So good luck SE to your team. Am sending massive positive thoughts and keeping all fingers crossed, sticking pins in dolls etc. etc.
Mark Lawrenson (in two minds about what I think about him) predicts 2-1 to Hull - could be good or the kiss of death. Though not accurate in actual figures, his average prediction rate has not been bad this year at all.

Double Posting for Significance.
Congratulations to Hull on getting through to playing in the 'top flight' for the first time in its 104 year history. And considering that 7 years ago they were about to lock the gates and descend into bankruptcy - marvellous achievement.
And in other news, I suppose this (
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/) sacking is no surprise.

The Monaco GP was good \o/
Unless your name is Adrian Sutil :(
R Soul shakes fist at Raikkonen, who made a tit of himself

I dunno, it looked like he started to brake early so as not to get close to him when the tyres were still cold, but it was damp higher up the hill and the rear locked sending him fishtailing.
Sad for Sutil, and unfortunate for Raikkonen, but I don't think it was really something he could envisage coming.

Well, not a bad day for British sport. Hamilton, Monty Panesar and his 6 wickets, Murray may possibly be winning a first round French Open - you never know with him. OK he finally got there.
And congratulations to Doncaster. Wish you good times in the Championship.
