Mother and daughter are safe and sound at home now, both are well and both are fantastic as always.
These parents who go on about lack of sleep, that was all a big wind up, right? RIGHT?!? Cos I'm getting seriously freaked out by this wonderchild who is sleeping from 9pm-1am, wakes up for a prompt feed then zonks out at 2am-8am. Fucking easy peasy. ;)
I must say, and this is something I've been telling everyone, I'm not surprised that I'm taken with little Evie but I'm surprised by just how much she means to me. It's been a pretty amazing experience all round really.
I'm sure more pics and stories will come soon*...
* Guess my old comment about not being "papa internet" just got shot to shit :(

It may not last. Is she still sleeping with mum? Our Seb just wouldn't sleep on his own.

It's not something you can put into words really. It's on a pretty fundamental level. I get a bit sad that I have to sit in an office all day instead of spending time with Seb. Gets fun when the little spud starts to explore the world. Make sure to put valuables on high shelves. Or, preferably, move them out of the house.

haha PAPA INTERNET hahah I'd forgotten about that golden little nugget. Dont worry once they cotton on that crying gets em attention, then it all starts. Although, you could have one of those perfect little babies who gives you absolute hell when they hit 3.

That's true.
Alexis was a doll until about age 2½, then she turned into a cute little Hell-beast.
But she's slept through the night by herself since she was about 2 months.
Now Megan, is in an entirely different beaker.
13 months old.
Doesn't usually sleep through the night.
Won't fall asleep in her crib.
Won't go back to sleep once she wakes up unless you come get her out and carry her around with you.
Hell on wheels from the get-go.
I think we're receiving our karmic retribution for having such a well behaved first child.
So, let me be the first to say 'ha-ha' for your ill behaved future second child.

Haha, thanks Turts. :(
Anyway, we got a bit of a kickback from last night's 8 hour marathon sleep (after the lovely Jess - Shug's
better half ;) - made us a slap-up meal) as today the little darlin' wouldn't stop eating or demanding our attention from 7am til around 2pm when she finally decided to zonk out for a few hours. She got fed a couple of times since now is softly snoozing in the corner. But who can complain? It's better for her to be awake and kicking through the day than during the night!

Seb is very similar, although he's generally happy when causing mayhem and throwing laundry about. So, perhaps "hell on wheels" is relatively accurate. Hell on legs maybe...

Y'stuffed now, Scotts... that baby's Australian...no turning back now:laff:
Congrats, et al, but my philosophy on this 'event' comes from TISM:
"...I love children, that's why I'm not having any..."
Quite simply, I'd take a life with potential and just stuff it up...:tsktsk: Not all of us are of the parenting kind, so congrats and good luck to those who are :thumb:
