I certainly think it is, surely not just accepting things as a fact that must be taken as face value, but rather taking a highly skeptical viewpoint is one of the main things that separates science and religion. I don't suggest that the scientific method is any more valid, but just different.

I don't see why not, though we actually got some sun today. I should have cut the grass, instead I read my book on the long lawn.
But my peonies still haven't bloomed, and the tomato and basil plants are very, very sad. The roses are starting to show color too. Everything is very weedy because I haven't been interested in going out in the chill and damp to weed.
