My suggestions: keep the no alarm and no camera destruction objective, add a no hack (except with IcePicks) and no psi objective. Drop the stat restrictions.

One would think assassins were allowed to hack computers.
Well, at least there is no reason to not allow it. :erm:

From memory it is relatively easy to ghost the cameras using hacking. Disallowing hacking of security computers considerably increases the difficulty of the game.

True, but it is very hard avoiding some of the cameras without hacking or destroying them. You for example need to be quick when you make the right turn in MedSci shortly after passing by the elevator door.

That's the one camera that I'd be concerned about, but I'm pretty sure that you can just run past it (particularly with a speed hypo). There's also the two cameras mounted in the long 'H' shaped corridor in hydro which could be a pain in the arse.

You'd need to take out the maint. bots first, then open the door and hope the camera has it's ass faced towards you. That gives you time to run right under it and then run the second half.

I did the brain room fairly easily on my impossible, no cyber modules run. I think my stats were something like standard 3, maint. 1, agility 3 and (maybe) strength 2. By that point every shotgun in the game (aside from the unbreakable one which I wasn't using) was broke and all the auto repair kits used. Speed is really the key in that room, with a speed hypo you're pretty effective at dodging most attacks and the stars only take one hit each, then burst mode for the brain. To be honest, the whole game is far too easy when you've played it a million times before. They could have done with making enemies tougher on harder skill levels I think.

You mean like doing more damage and being quicker at reacting?
steo on 21/4/2007 at 21:22
Well, I was thinking of hit points but reaction speeds as well, yeah. The fact that it's so hideously easy to dodge attacks does make things pretty easy when you're used to the game. I think the enemies do enough damage as it is though, especially when you've only got 14 hit points because you're playing on impossible.

True, 14 HPs go away fast enough as it is.
As for making it harder to dodge attacks; I do have problems dodging the laser attacks from midwives, security bots and laser turrets. Making attacks of hybrids and rumblers faster would make it quite a bit more dangerous to use a melee weapon. :)
