ok, good to know! Thanks.

I'll second Tresspasser and Terra Nova.
Or how about MDK, Urban Chaos or Oni.
Seriously, how don't we have high res remasters of any of these yet?

One reason can be that many really old games only support extremely low resolution images. I'd say you'd be very lucky to find a game from '97 to support even 512x512 unless someone made a port of the engine and added it in. For a game like Thief or System Shock 2 you are also limited in terms of how many polygons you can use for a model. Those engines comes with restrictions (which weren't restrictions then, but are now).

The writing is great, the combat is so boring that the official patch added a key to speed up all the animations.
IIRC the timescale command is a default feature of the Quake 2 engine that Anachronox uses.
Last time I played I actually set up two timescale keybinds-- a really fast one for speeding up combat and blasting through all the elevator animations, and a kinda-fast one to use as a makeshift run key when just roaming around the levels.

Is there a specific folder of textures you're having issues with for Thief 1 or 2, which no one has done yet?
Just let me know i can probably make those textures.
if you have the time you could just zip the ones that needs retexturing and i'll do my best. saves me a ton of time, because i'm not very familiar with which ones are done and which ones are not.
I'm working on a AI model which will be trained on armors, gothic / medieval style doors, windows etc.

There's a website that I use to keep track of everything. I'll admit that I haven't looked at it in a while.
(
https://nameless.zanity.net/epterrain/index.php) EP Terrain Index
That's mostly showing terrain textures, but there's a page with some object textures too.
There are filters for priorities.
A lot of the remaining textures are peculiar things like oddly-shaped bricks, rocks, cave walls, etc., where it's very hard to make a high-res replacement that actually still looks like the original low-res one.
I also have a bunch of potential replacements that didn't quite make the cut, but which could have been suitable with a few other changes. Was never quite sure what to do with those.

Great, i'll take a look at those :)
edit: i'll concentrate on the OBJ ones i think, since many of those aren't done.
statues and such i can quite easily make better, like this (upscale mod vs my mod for Dark Forces 2):

One difficulty with the EP is that it always has to be compatible with all FMs, hence why I always try to make the models as close in size as possible, and using the same texture filenames and roughly the same UV mappings.
The statue models, for example, would cause problems if their shape is too different. Even with the current EP ones, which don't change the much, we've still seen issues with tiaras placed on statues not looking quite right on the replacement model.
The main thread for the EP is (

Ok. Not gonna do models though, just textures.
