So I was in downtown Ottawa on Saturday (Canada Day), watching the fireworks with about 200,000 other people, quite a number of whom are pretty well sloshed.
I see a bunch of morons climbing and drinking all over the war memorial and the tomb of the unknown soldier, and I remarked to my wife that they are utter idiots.
But yesterday I see one of their photos on the (

I kinda wanted to see the guy's face when he realized that the vast majority of the Canadian population now hate him, or at least think he's a total retard. But not only that; as of today the (

So, word of advice (particularly relevant to Americans today): no matter where you are, if you're going to urinate on a national war memorial during that country's celebration of independence, don't pose while a retired war veteran takes your picture and then sends it to the newspapers. It can't turn out good for you.

I'll have to look it up, but I'm pretty sure there wasn't a set of public toilets in the place where the war memorial is now.
Anyway, point is, if you're going to do something stupid try not to let a stranger photograph you in the act. I'm not sure if the "chronic shortage of public toilets" defense is going to help this guy.
