I never played Of Orcs & Men’s but then this is something pretty different anyway.
Interesting that it's coming out this year, with Thief just around the corner, seeing as it's a fantasy stealth game and looks pretty Thiefy in the screenshots.
You're a Goblin and you're trying to get up some crazy tower that looks pretty cool actually. Goblins, being small, aren't fighters so expect a lot of stealth kills.
Oh, and there's supposedly a lot of verticality to explore which is what makes me interested.

Looks good. The review of their previous games points to godawful stealth implementation, so I'll hold my optimism until I hear more about how they've done it.

Looks AWESOME. Thanks!

Looks competently made. Graphics and movement are good. Nice big open levels. This could defenitely end up being very good.
I like that the protagonist is a little ugly fellow as well. None of that pretty boy hero bullshit. :D

I like it. The protagonist seems very original and interesting too.

I've played through "Of Orcs and Men"...it's....interesting. Kinda real-time-with-pause, but the pausing actually just slows down the action, so you still need to think fairly fast about what you're going to do.
Since you have to essentially control two people more or less full-time because the AI is fucktarded otherwise, this is quite important (when the orc dude finally goes berzerk and you lose control, it's usually time to go "ahhh, fucking finally" and dedicate some time to having fun in real-time with the goblin).
It was not really a stealth game, though: there was stealth IN it, more or less constantly, but a typical level consisted of
>park the orc outside the mission area, because he's fucking enormous and is made out of unsubtlety
>switch to goblin, then go into stealth (generic ghost-mode stealth)
>sweep round the entire mission area picking off stragglers that are invariably lampshaded so unapologetically that they might as well have had arrows hovering above them saying STAB THIS DUDE HERE, and essentially clean up as much of the area as you can. People walk in single file, so you can stab, move on, stab, move on, stab etc from the back forwards, it's all very silly.
>at some point you'll either fuck up or get bored, and you'll lose stealth and people will be all ZOMG A GOBLIN WTF, at which point the orc automatically starts running to your position and you proceed to muderer everyone remaining.
>rinse, repeat
So...eh, I have my doubts about the quality of the stealth they can deliver. The world itself is quite interesting, in a sort of (albeit excessively) grimdark way, at least.

The stealth looks fairly bog standard, but the openness of the world is very nice.
Release date: late summer, for PC/PS4/XBO

RE: Of Orcs & Men
I thought it could have been really good if they hadn't copy/pasted the combat system from Game of Thrones. It's awful in both games. They have some really nice character models and textures, but the rest of the game is bargain bin.
I honestly think this could have been Game of the Year, or at least got a lot of attention if the gameplay was even vaguely related to the trailers.

I believe this might be the first trailer they've released that isn't just gameplay, but shows a hint of what the story might be. I like the raspy voiceactor too. Sounds like Goblin Garrett.

This is starting to shape up nicely. If I hadn't already ordered Shadow of Mordor I'd probably get this on release.

Looks like the game is pretty decent and an oldschool stealth experience. Let's hear some impressions, TTLGers.
