So I've finished the Cure for Vampirism quest, almost. After the death of his wife, Janus needs a day alone, or whatnot. So I wait for the day, go to see the steward, and she says "wait here while I got get him" or somesuch. Except she doesn't move. Just stands there. And that's all she'll say; she won't go get him. If I go into Janus' room and talk to him, he says "Just go". What do I do? How do I wrap up this quest?

Tried the patch yet? One of the things it fixes is this quest.

I found I had to wait longer than a day before I could see him. I don't remember how long, just that I got tired of dicking around waiting for the magic moment, and just started using the "wait" function for 24 hours at a shot while inside the castle. After two or three times, he just appeared in the hall as I came out of one of the waits, we talked, and life went on. I was tempted to reload so I could do it "right," but since it's obviously bugged I decided to just be thankful it worked at all, and move on.
