I liked 3rd Rock From the Sun. It was silly stuff mixed with some genuinely clever humor. And at the end of the show they'd always go out on the roof and ponder the strangeness of being human. I wonder why that show didn't last longer.
Agreed. Also, Brendon Small's 'Home Movies'. H.Jon Benjamin is a great voice actor, and the writing is really clever and witty.
And let's not forget the incredible Norman Lear sitcoms/spinoffs. God, what an amazing run of shows he had.

Fuel to the fire.
Have you actually
seen Criminal Minds or are you just deriding it because it's not on some cable channel I don't care about? Remember, I didn't actually
get cable until last year and I honestly don't care enough about TV to go looking for new shows.

This.
I also add to that the free fall "House MD" has been in since the second half of Season 3 (it hit rock bottom with 5) and their meddling in the first half of "Dollhouse".

I've watched a few episodes of Firefly. I'm suprised it was on Fox at all. Felt more like it belonged on UPN.

It lasted for six seasons. Considering the premise of the show, I think that's a surprisingly long run.

The single worst sitcom EVER is Two and a Half Men. FUCK that show is terrible.
3rd Rock was a solid, traditional sitcom. One of the better ones.

Have you been keeping up on House? The second to last episode of the 4th season is the greatest episode of the entire series. Hell, it was so incredible that if the entire season had just been a photograph of Hugh Laurie taped to the camera the episode still would have made up for the whole season.

^ "House's head" was merely passable and it was followed up by the horrendous and completely out of place "Wilson's Heart". Yes, I've been keeping up and I'm sick to my stomach.
For me, House pretty much died after the Tritter storyline. It's been just around average since, with the occasional gem popping up.
