Dethtoll, you *do* realize that comedy is subjective?

You do realize I am merely stating my opinion? Do I seriously have to start adding a "THIS IS JUST MY OPINION" disclaimer to every goddamn thing I say just so a bunch of spindicked shitfuckers won't yell at me? 'Cuz I don't think that would stop them.

Agreed. Goddamn, people, most every single post on the various internet forums basically consists of one man's opinion. By now, you'd think people would realize this and every single post wouldn't require a disclaimer stating 'IMHO'.

Well, this thread has certainly become very disappointing.
DO I EXPECT TOO MUCH FROM YOU??!!

Red Dwarf was fucking amazing.
Just my opinion.

Mostly, anyway.
Does 'Not Going Out' count as sitcom? I have found that to be reasonably amusing whenever I've seen it.

Fuel to the fire.

Dethtoll also likes really shitty formulaic procedural crime dramas like Criminal Minds, instead of genuinely good shows of that ilk like The Wire, The Shield and Damages.

Way to pull that one down by putting Damages on the list, one of the most lazily plotted, oh-my-god-let's-introduce-yet-another-twist-making-the-story-even-more-arbitrary shows I've ever seen. If it didn't have good actors (although some of them ham it up almost to panto level), it wouldn't have anything going for it IMO. I can see it being a guilty pleasure, but "genuinely good show"? Not really.

I liked 3rd Rock From the Sun. It was silly stuff mixed with some genuinely clever humor. And at the end of the show they'd always go out on the roof and ponder the strangeness of being human. I wonder why that show didn't last longer.
