I can't seem to get any deeper than level 6, I think, the level with the Sisters of Edurneum outpost. I've managed to get the dragon's egg, but I can't figure out how to get deeper to get to the dwarf area and find the mithril to make the sword. Quite annoying, really.

The entrance downwards to Mushroom Forest is in their outpost. Remember the hall where you have the entrance to the Testing room? One of those 3 corridors leads down. :)
