Hi, I'm a bit stuck in Tribunal for pc, on the Protect Barenziah quest. Specifically, I stand behind the spot like I always did in past playthroughs (3 runs on pc, two on xbox) and I wait, but the assassins never show. Days have passed, and I got bored so I went off and finished the main tribunal quest, and now I'm back with this unfinished. If there is a console command or two to prompt this to move ahead, that would be great. And I've tried standing on pretty much every inch of floor behind the screens, and waiting.

All I can say is to make sure all the doors are closed. I'm terrible with using the console for journal commands. If you don't get help, try searching (I'm sure others have had the same problem), or searching the official forums.

I don't have my editor installed at the moment so I can't really help you. But if you look in the editor, find the guy you got the quest off (if you can), then look through his dialogue to find out what journal index you need to recognise that you've finished it and type in Journal JournalIndexName JournalIndexNumber to the console, obviously you'll have to write it down. If you can't remember the guys name then go into character (I think) then down to dialogue which will give you the dialogue for everyone, then you can go down the the topic Barenziah in which you should be able to find the quest, or lastly you can go into the dialogue thing again, then at the top you will notice various tabs, the one you are in is called topics, the next one is greetings (I think) then you can scroll over to journal and then try to find the journal index from there, its probably called TB_something.
Long and complex explaination, which is why I usually do it for people but no CS on computer ATM. It should be fairly easy to work out once you actaully do it and once you've done it you now know how to fix most problems.
Or you could try to find the script which works it and activate the quest manually, but since you've done it before then you shouldn't be fussed.
EDIT: and btw, its probably a timer error, I'd say they are quite common but in reality they are incrediably rare but I've just played too much and so had it happen a couple of times.

Make sure you are standing far enough behind the screen. You have to pretty much be in the corner from what I remember.

yeah, the doors definately were closed, and like I mentioned, I was EVERYWHERE behind that screen. I had to do the journal stuff to bypass it.
