Yeah, if you forget how to move and aim once you reach her in versalife, she's deadly. :p

I saw the sword in her hand as she ran towards me and I thought, "OH NO! She's gotta sword! Looks like this is it." For a second I thought I'd pull out my sword and fight her hand to hand, but then I thought, "That's just what they'd like.", so I ran and then I went to my inventory screen and had a few moments to think. Still in a panic, I quickly selected the pistol. I turned around and fired three times at the center of her body without letting the crosshairs come together and she went down like a sack of wormy apples. "That's it!!!? That all you got, lady?" She didn't move. I searched her and it said she was Maggie Chow.
I think she didn't have anything on her. Nothing of significance anyway. With shaky hands, I checked my notes and had a forty. For some reason the escort I murdered back at the Lucky Money popped into my mind. Those haunting innocent eyes and the way she said "Hi". I shouldn't have killed her like that. It was just wrong. I don't know why I did it. The buzz wore off and then I moved on.

funny po. i had a hard time playing that part of the game. especially trying to find the pipes to ecsape. but i figured it out eventually. those little laser-shooting spider/crab-like critters scared the daylights out of me at first and i had a hard time trying to escape from them for a while.
but the moment i entered that room i knew that was maggie chow and i thought for a split second why the heck would she be here. before she pulled out that sword she and jc talked for a good 10 seconds so i wasn't expecting for her to pull out a weapon so she killed me that first time...the cow. but i got her back next time around by not allowing her to get too close to me and then i pulled out my trusty flamethrower and fried her like crispy chicken. she didn't know what hit her. but satan knew.:ebil: lololol
and i did it all for my brother, paul.

Yea. The spiders were a pain. I've got the drone thing with an EMP attack. I hadn't thought of it at the time, but I bet it would have stunned them. I ended up using the scrambler greanade on them. It turns the one that contact it against the other ones. I think there's also an emp grenade of some kind that works on spiders.
They were in Thief two too. Mechanical spiders with crossbow type ranged, weapons. Most of those I crushed under the elevators in Thief after leading them with noise arrows to their doom.

Anything which works on bots will work on spiders.

Those spiders don't even need to be dealt with. When you enter the destruct code, they will be released on the opposite side. You don't need to go there, you just go under/over the rail right then and there and jump into the open pipe below.
This was the first time I finished that area without getting hurt by the spiders and sewage. *g*
Personally I always fight Maggie with my DragonClaw. At least it adds some thrill to it. Also, can anyone tell me why this area also has the only conventional-weapon destroyable camera? You can just whack it with a knife.
[edit]...oh, I get it. It has to be like that to get destroyed when the UC collapses. Silly me. :p [/edit]
