Snorks are like everything else: aim for the head and life will be a lot easier.
They are quite specific - torso armour is considerably heavier than other AIs have. I hate them more than anything else, monolith and poltergeist included.

Every other time I'm at Yantar I go snork-hunting around the swamp with a pump shotty; I treat it as a way to relax from the more tense parts of the game.
Pick one up with my binos and either
1) Sprint (only on dry land, not the swampy parts) up to point-blank before it notices me and fill it with pellets, or
2) Let it notice me and crawl close enough to lunge, dodge the lunge and close in before it recovers.
Having poor mousemanship, I can only headshot sniper a snork down at medium-long range only if it is relatively still, otherwise it'll scamper away before I could kill it - waste of rifle ammo.

I like to go Snork hunting when I get my hands on the Combat Chaser. I don't do it with the pump shotgun, because it has only two shots.

I have this same problem. I'm stuck in the same area. I killed the Orange floating thing but the door is sealed shut and is banging itself hehe :P (Yes I have the documents)
I do have an earlier save, I just don't want to go through this level again :cheeky:
Can anyone possibly help me please? :(
