The goblin cook is stuck outside the king's room so he can't make the special delivery for me. Prior to my doctoring the dough, he was making regular trips back and forth from the kitchen. I have tried reloading the level several times with the same result. I must admit that I got frustrated and whacked the cook with my sword to see what would happen. He reacted by attacking me as did the guards and they did me in very quickly. When I reloaded, he was stuck in front of the King's door once again.
I would like to reinstall the game but not have to start from the beginning. Is there a "saved game" file. If so, what is its name and where is it located if not in the Arx Fatalis directory? Any other workarounds for this problem other than starting from scratch?

I hope some one comes along soon to help you. I just want to make sure you are running patch 1.17 or 1.18. They fix a lot of those bugs. :thumb::cheeky:

I purchased the game through GOG.com and it came with patch 1.19. I grew impatient waiting for a response and started a new game. When I reached the cook outside the king's door scenario, it worked as advertised. My only concern is this happening when I am 90% or more through the game. Thanks for suggesting I check my patch version.

Glad its working now. Have fun! Just finished last week for like the second or third time and it still rocks. :thumb::cheeky:
P.S. It shouldn't matter once you talk to the king as the only other thing to do with that server is to maybe give him a book later. You should be able to do that even if he is stuck..lol
