AWESOME thing indeed :thumb:
Just traveled along Shaftesbury Avenue (London), it felt like I was right there.

Better documentation of their surroundings for street thieves and muggers, beware.

More fun! Looks like pegman left the theatre with his 3D glasses on. Luckily I had a very old pair of anaglyph glasses lying around to try it out. It's not great an effect and seems a tad gimmicky really.

I wonder how much time and human/monetary resources it took to 'streetcapture' that all. Lots of European and American cities, even small towns and countryside, unbelievable amount of work as it seems to me.

you cant see my house due to the tree's and am in the post office anyway cos I saw the google car go by when I was in there, its a black mini with backed out windows and a big black ball on its roof.:wot:

Blimey, even my road is there! I wasn't sure they'd have gone down our little area. It must have been done a while ago though; we've since changed our net curtains, and a garage that Streetview shows at the top of our road has since been knocked down. Does anyone know if there's a way to check exactly when they took the footage?
Unfortunately you can't make anything out through my front window. That's where the computer is and I'm usually sat there - was hoping I'd be able to see myself. :cheeky:

They watermark in the year the photo was taken, but as for actual dates I don't think so.

I've been able to narrow down when they went past the building I work in as we had a temp in for a week or so and their car is in the car park.
At home I can tell it was a weekend, but that's about it.

They sometimes use footages made at different times at the same place. And by different I mean months ;) F.e. :

lol that's an interesting change of scenery right there... :cheeky:
Taking another look at my road, Streetview's actually captured the guy who lives a few doors down, putting something in his wheelie bin. I think I'll print out the picture and ask him to tell me when it was! :p
